A boat that left Calabar in the federal republic of Nigeria, has capsized off the coast of Idenau, in the Fako division, SW region, today 28 July, 2020.
Traders say the boat was carrying goods estimated above 100million CFA.
This is the second time an accident is occurring in the seas of Idenau in less than a year
In November 2019, another boat capsized leaving one dead and atleast 20 injured.
Most of the the other victims were rescued by local fishermen and the country’s navy.
Idenau is a small port town in Fako division South West region. Goods and persons regularly used used the town to visit Nigeria as well as to buy goods.
