News of the death of Amba General Fonteh Lucas AKA Mad Dog has been met with huge excitement in the city of Bamenda and beyond.
The notorious Amba General who masterminded some of the most outrageous atrocities in the town and its environs was killed in an operation last night September 5th 2020 by the country’s security forces and his lifeless body deposited around City Chemist Roundabout in the heart of the city.
The notorious criminal even before the advent of the Anglophone crisis, ‘Mad dog’ also known as ‘the beast’ has been a nightmare to many residents of the Ntamulong neighborhood, Bamenda and a serious danger to security forces.
His speedy rise to the rank of one of the most deadly Commanders of Armed Seperatist Fighters in the North West Region therefore came as no surprise to many in the town given his criminal history.
He is largely believed to have been the brain behind the Mitayen Credit Union attack weeks back and also accused to have buried a lady alive at River Mezam amongst other crimes and atrocities.
Many residents who spoke to TeboPost from Bamenda expressed unreserved satisfaction that the seperatist fighter was killed and said one of their dark chapters in the city and indeed the war has been closed.
